Achter de groep 4 Strings zitten de muzikanten Carlo Resoort (de producer) en Jan de Vos (DJ). De twee kennen elkaar al sinds de jaren 80.
Carlo maakte de hit Silmarillia samen met Piet Bervoets van Rank 1 terwijl Jan zich op het mixen stortte en in veel clubs draaide. Uiteindelijk kruisten de wegen van Carlo en Jan zich weer en ze werkten samen aan het 4 Strings project.
De eerste single Daytime deed het erg goed en DJ's als Tiesto, Judge Jules en Paul van Dyk namen hem gelijk op in hun sets. De opvolger was de wereldwijde doorbraak van 4 Strings. De instrumentale track "Into The Night" werd meteen gedraaid door elke top DJ. Later werd er een vocale versie gemaakt die Take Me Away heette en wereldwijde alle dancecharts topte.
Opvolgers Diving en Let It Rain werden ook verkoopsuccessen. Dit resulteerde tot nu toe in twee artiesten albums. Carlo Resoort heeft ook nog een soloproject onder zijn eigen naam met releases als Remover, O Class en Musica. De laatste release Sunrise is weer een goede trancer die wereldwijd al wordt opgepikt door veel DJ's. Het succes duurt voort.....
English biography
Behind the name 4 Strings hides 2 musicians, Carlo Resoort (March 1, 1973) and Jan de Vos (August 9,1974). The two know each other since 1986. In 1990 they became interested in dance music and from that moment on, they started making there own music. All their spare time was spend in the studio. Throughout the next couple of years not only did their skills expand but also the amount of equipment in their studio. With the new tools and experience that they had, they could finally discover in which direction they wanted to go with their musical careers: Carlo decided to stay in the studio while Jan found his passion in mixing and started his DJ-ing career.
"Daytime" was the first track of 4 Strings, supported by Paul van Dijk, Judge Jules and Tiësto. The follow up was "Into the night", which got even more support. After a vocal edit called "Take me away" it became a huge hit around the globe, even now the track can be heard worldwide.
"Diving" and "Let it rain" were the follow ups, and soon the first album was released. After remixing "Summer sun" they start to work on there second album "Turn it around". The album was named after the new single which is a remake from Carlo’s former project "Alena". At the same time there was more. Carlo started another project under his own name, with productions like "Remover", "O’ class" and "Musica".
Jan is on the move around the globe as "Dj 4 Strings". His uplifting sets got many clubs shaking. Big crowds were amazed by his refreshing style. With a full box of vinyl he always finds a way to please the crowd, which is his main target. With his fast growing reputation the future looks very bright.
Carlo creates the productions and Jan tests them on the dance floor. As a result of that, Jan often visits Carlo in the studio with inspiration for new productions and new ideas. They work out those new ideas together, new productions are always on the way! As a team they're becoming stronger and stronger. Their latest track Sunrise is destined for massive airplay again!
