Supermode – Tell Me Why
Label: Spinnin’
Cat #: SPR022
Vinyl release date: 17-07-06
Digital release date: 10-07-06 (Dance-Tunes.com)
Supermode’s ‘Tell Me Why’, produced by Axwell & Angello, looks set to be the record that sees the Swedish house mafia set up shop in the worldwide charts once more.
Originally released on London Records back in 1984, by the legendary Bronski Beat, ‘Small Town Boy’ was a top 3 hit that sold thousands worldwide. The record featured Jimmy Somerville’s unique soprano strains and a riff that became synonymous with the decade of hedonism and bad suits.
Fast forward to 2006 and an updated version by Supermode has already garnered support from the likes of Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Judge Jules (who made it his Tried & Tested), as well as Tiesto, Roger Sanchez & Erick Morillo, who have been hammering it in all of their recent sets.
‘Tell Me Why’ combines emotion-laden vocals with a spine-tingling riff and a hefty dollop of modern house, creating a handcrafted nugget of pure dancefloor perfection in the process.
This vinyl package contains the previously unreleased Mark Simmons RMX.
